Oh my gosh! The tension just ratchets up a little more with every episode! I had to pace around the apartment a little bit to relax after this one, and I don't read many books that do that. (Could probably count them on one hand.) That's a good thing, in this case, because I'm too excited for the next episode! I HAVE to know how all this turns out! We learn so much more about the world of Faylan—the Kobold territory specifically, has an almost steampunk vibe to it. All the competitors grow a little more. Some shocking revelations too. For the first time, the competitors get to see in advance what their trial will be. And we see little Luna again from Quinn's crew! That really brings up a mystery. What happened to the rest of her crew?
Also - this competition is meant to choose which clan will rule once and for all. Judging by the current leaders and the trials they created, they've all got issues and nobody deserves to rule—especially not permanently. Granted, we haven't seen the Gwyllion trial yet, but yikes! Still, there's much more at stake than a crown and the right to rule.
Hold onto your seat!
